The three divisions on the board

Division III, II, and I are a reading aid painted across a rank’s band. The account does not store a division.

This page explains the written ladder. It does not apply a match, and it does not change a stored rating.

What is stored

A signed-in account stores a rank level and a competitive rating. The rank level follows the rating. There is no division column beside them.

On the ranks board, the band of the selected rank is split into three display steps so the eye can see the bottom, the middle, and the top of that floor. Division III is the low end of the band. Division I is the high end.

What the chips are

The win-rate percentages and the progress marks on those chips are samples. They are not a second ladder, and they are not a target you must clear.

Changing the division chip does not change a stored rating. Only a recorded result can do that, and this page does not record one.
